Characteristics:

very soft wood of high elasticity and regular texture, non-resinous and odorless, typical veneer for rotary cut, but also slicable

Wood color:

withish to pale grey sapwood, flat-lustrous heartwood in dark pink to salmon pink color, sometimes also greyish
